スウェーデン・ストックホルムにあるエリック・グンナール・アスプルンドによるストックホルム市立図書館に隣接した図書館を増築する。アスプルンドの意思を尊重し、当時実現に至らなかった彼のプロポーション案を継承する。現地の木を用いてデザインしたファサードがガラスファサードを覆う。格子のような役割を果たす木のファサードは、図書を光から保護しながらも自然 な光が差し込み、内部に格子の影を落とし込み、奥行きのある空間を生み出す。地下部分で図書館棟が接続され、既存のアスプルンド棟とシームレスに繋がる。

An extension next to the Stockholm City Library by Eric Gunnar Asplund in Stockholm, Sweden. Respecting Asplund’s will, it inherits a proportion of his proposal that was not realized at the time. A facade designed with local wood covers the glass facade. The facade of the tree, which acts like a lattice, protects the book from light while allowing natural light to enter and casts the shadow of the lattice inside, creating a depth. The library building is connected in the basement and seamlessly connects to the existing.

Une extension de la bibliothèque à côté de la bibliothèque de Stockholm par Eric Gunnar Asplund à Stockholm, en Suède. Respectant le testament d’Asplund, il hérite de sa proposition de proportion qui n’avait pas été réalisée à cette époque. Une façade conçue avec du bois local recouvre la façade en verre. La façade de l’arbre, qui agit comme un treillis, protège le livre de la lumière tout en laissant entrer la lumière naturelle et en projetant l’ombre du treillis à l’intérieur, créant un espace profond. Le bâtiment de la bibliothèque est connecté au sous-sol et se connecte de manière transparente au bâtiment existant a Asplund.
